IAM MEDITATION – RESEARCH RESULTS

RESEARCH ON IAM (Resume) :

According to a study conducted by Amrita University, Cochin (India) [1], practitioners of IAM experienced a reduction in the stress-hormone adrenaline, as soon as 48 hours after beginning the practice, compared to two control groups. After 8 months, further reduction in adrenaline, as well as in cortisol, could be observed compared to the baseline level. Adrenaline was significantly lower in the IAM-group compared to the two control groups. Other positive effects included heart rate reduction, respiratory rate reduction, and immunological benefits. Practitioners of IAM also responded more calmly to “stressful events” than control groups.
